How to landscape for Autumn?
I'm moving into a new home and don't have a lot of money but am willing to take a year or so to get it done. Autumn is my favorite season, I entertain more in the fall play with the kids and all. My backyard is plain and a descent size. It's basically all grass with a small area for the patio.
My question is: How can I landscape my backyard for Fall but still have it look nice in Summer? I'm rather new to landscaping but I love do it yourself projects. Oh my backyard is fenced in, if that makes any difference. So any ideas or sites to help would be greatly appreciated 
Please keep in mind I don't have a large amount of money to spend, then again I don't know anyone who does now a days.
Oh um I live in Colorado if that helps.
as we get later into the summer and twoards fall many gardening centers and big box stores discount the unpurchased shrubs and trees. It is a great time to get quality stuff and decent prices. I have pruchased some of the neglected plants as well and revived them. Evergreen type shrubs provide great color and interest thru fall and winter. sedum and ornamental cbage are great for fall/winter as well. You don't say what zone you are in so do some research at the library to determine what is most hardy for your region
